Monday Night Football: Cheeseburger Bites
It’s game night, so whether you fire up the grill, your stove, or your oven, it’s time to make some tasty chow to cheer on your favorite team or to throw a super football party!
Sliders, anyone? Fire up the grill (slow cooker) and get ready for some football.
Ingredients
1 lb. lean (at least 80%) ground beef
2 tablespoons ketchup
2 teaspoons instant minced onion
1 teaspoon yellow mustard
8 oz. American cheese loaf, cut into 2-inch cubes (2 cups)
24 miniature burger buns, split
Toppings (your choice!)
Dill pickle chips
Sliced plum tomatoes
Shredded lettuce
Additional ketchup and mustard
Directions 1. In 10-inch skillet, cook beef over medium-high heat 5 to 7 minutes, stirring frequently, until thoroughly cooked; drain. Stir in 2 tablespoons ketchup, the onion and 1 teaspoon mustard. 2. Spray 3 1⁄2- to 4-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. Spoon beef mixture into slow cooker. Top with cheese. Cover; cook on low heat setting for 3 to 4 hours. 3. Just before serving, stir beef mixture. Spoon 1 rounded tablespoon of the mixture onto each bun. Serve with desired toppings.
